Check out this fabulous video of the Lyceum weekend in San Antonio!

The San Antonio conference entitled “The Storied Relationship Between the U.S. Military and Texas” will be held October 22-24 in San Antonio. It will provide the State’s emerging political and business leaders an in-depth look at how Texas, its citizens and businesses, has shaped the U.S. military and how the military will impact the state of Texas for decades to come.

As the aerospace and defense industry is one of the main economic engines in Texas, we thought it fitting to focus on the missions, capabilities and economic impact the military has had around the state. The program will examine the history of the military in Texas and then take us to present-day missions and the future of how the military-industrial complex will equip our forces with the capabilities to protect and defend national interests. In doing so, we will be able to ensure current and future Texas leaders will be able to understand, preserve and grow this dynamic industry for decades to come.

On hand for the weekend will be decorated military commanders, historians, industrial leaders and federal and state legislators participating in these important conversations and capability demonstrations. The capstone of our weekend will be a night to celebrate our soldiers, sailors and airmen who commit themselves to duty, honor and country. The Lyceum is proud of our reputation of being the premier non-partisan leadership group in the state. We are committed to moving beyond a powerful dialogue of the issues we face into a plan of action to address these issues so we can continue to enjoy the freedoms and wealth of opportunities that define Texas.
